Sal’s Story

Since the young age of 15, Sal Rando started working in the restaurant industry on Long Island New York, and realized a life long passion for pleasing people through the art of food. “It’s in my blood. My father was an executive chef and all of my grandparents cooked culturally”.

2007, Sal opened Sal’s New York pizzeria in this exact spot and through a series of events, sold it and the restaurant ended up back in his hands. “ Within weeks of selling, I realized that it was a mistake and started to deeply miss my Gaston County Pizzeria family”.
